  • More than half (52%) of UK companies have experienced a decline because of postings online in the last 12 months.

  • 1 in 5 (21%) admitted they are terrified of the damage that further negative content could do – potentially destroying their company for good – up from 1 in 6 two years ago.

What Are We Doing About This At Lighthouse International?

We at Lighthouse International Group have launched Business Against Trolls to teach companies globally how to handle toxic employees from within and companies who are being attacked online. We have experienced this personally ourselves, and are now using these experiences to teach others.

Knowingly or unknowingly hiring toxic employees can cost an average company of 1,000 people over $1.2 million a year (£885,000) and British Businesses are losing £30,000 a year to internet trolls. Companies have a responsibility to act.

In the old days, you could look the person giving the review in the eye and decide, based on what you know about them, whether they were being honest. Why Are We Doing This?

  • For the last 12 months, Lighthouse International Group has been attacked online in a coordinated smear campaign by 2 ex-Associates leaving over a financial dispute as well as from toxic families of the people we mentor, coach and counsel to heal from often horrific abuse. These online trolls have tried to destroy the business, its people and its families. They have been directly or indirectly involved in racist posts, posting pictures of children and locations of where business partners live. This has cost the business a huge amount of money, man-hours and lost clients not to mention personal distress.

    We have personally experienced toxic narcissism in people as one of the biggest obstacles in the way of businesses and teams reaching their full potential. After many years of research, we realised that toxic narcissism, especially in those closest to us, is at the root of many forms of abuse, including those who become online trolls. It must be dealt with. Good businesses, good people and children are having their lives destroyed because of it.

Who Are We?

  • We are a group of parents, entrepreneurs, fathers, brothers, sons, sisters, daughters and mothers… Each of us has personally been attacked by toxic people in our lives. Some of us have tried to commit suicide because we didn’t have anyone to turn to. In our 18 years, we spent 7 years just having to protect, nurture, and counsel members of our team from past and current abuse.

What Has Been Our Experience of Being Trolled At Lighthouse?

  • Who Has Trolled Us?

    Over 18 years, working with over 70,000 people, we have helped many to make personal and professional breakthroughs through our work.

    There has, however, been a tiny group of toxic families and ex-associate elects out of the 70,000 people we have served who are vehemently against our work.

    These toxic families have controlled and manipulated our former associate elects and clients, demanding refunds unlawfully at the expense of Lighthouse. We have refuted these demands and so these toxic influences became nasty, violent, and destructive. They have set up websites like “Questioning Lighthouse International Group” as well as posting malicious and unlawful rumours on Reddit.
