  • We’re emotionally reactive, perhaps we need a cigarette or drink to calm down, we don’t believe in ourselves and struggle to follow through on basic commitments.

  • We feel demotivated, everything seems mundane, we can often feel like we’re living on a treadmill and don’t really know where we’re going in life.

  • There is never enough time, we tend to put off some of the big things and sometimes we feel like we get hit by problem after problem.

  • We feel that sometimes people take advantage of us or perhaps we take from them leaving them worse off because we were just concerned about ourselves.

  • We may feel that others don’t care or indeed we don’t care about others ourselves. People talk over each other and never really listen.

  • We judge others negatively or are judged by others ourselves. People struggle to get on with each other and aren’t able to work through their problems together.

    • We may feel lacking in energy or like things in our lives are stagnating – no progress.

Would it be possible to build a happy, meaningful life, family, career or business if we lived like this constantly?

Quite simply the relationships with our partners, our children, work colleagues or friends would soon fall away and we would have no impetus to take progressive actions to turn our lives around unless we had endured enough pain to whole-heartedly choose not to.

1. Why Would I Want To Learn About The Principles?

If we were to build an aircraft we would need to have a fundamental understanding of the laws of gravity, aerodynamics and mechanics. To build an aircraft without that understanding would be foolish, likely resulting in tragedy. An aircraft can only escape the grips of gravity because it is designed in accordance with the laws of aerodynamics.
