What are we doing to help others live principle-centred lives?
The principles of effectiveness cannot be glossed over, they cannot be ignored, we (as people) cannot break these principles, only break ourselves against them. Breaking these principles can only result in ineffective and painful consequences – in our marriages, families, businesses or careers.
A Bit About Our Journey So Far
Our first realisation that life and business principles were being missed or misapplied
People start businesses to get more life; more happiness, more money, more value, deeper relationships, greater opportunity and more freedom. Shockingly, only about 5% of businesses succeed after the first 5 years. That 5%, along with their owners, still have a massive need to create the life they were looking for when they originally went into business. We found that the vast majority of business owners didn’t know what those principles were when asked and consequently were too busy fighting fires that were created because of the lack of application of those principles from the very beginning.
Understanding people’s principle-centred needs
For the last 15 years, Paul and his team have placed their sole focus on undertaking comprehensive discovery and planning, including a 2-year study with 3000 businesses, relating to how people can learn the knowledge of and apply that knowledge of these effectiveness principles to their lives, families, careers and businesses.
Discovering the (principle) root cause of people’s personal and professional challenges
A shortfall in the business owner’s (principle-centred) leadership ability to clearly plan and define the vision of their business, or their ability to organise and coordinate themselves around these principles, let alone a team of people around a common purpose was evident. This clearly showed us why small business owners struggled when times were good, not to mention when the economic storms struck.
Our response to people’s need for principle-centred change
With extensive research we realise that business and career people were often buried in the secondary, i.e. the day-to-day doing, and that their business ideas and plans were not steeped in the primary, i.e. they and their businesses were not centred on founding principles that enables growth and development to flow naturally. In fact, when asked they were not even aware of them, because of this they unwittingly jumped into the middle thinking they were starting at the beginning.
Serving Others In Today’s World
Whether you’re a father, a mother, a life-partner, a teenager, a leader, a manager, a teacher, a friend, an aspiring pioneer, or just simply someone who cares, it is our awareness of, and ability to apply the fundamental principles of self- and mutual-leadership that will empower us to evoke the change in our lives and the world around us that we aspire to and so desperately need.
How are we now helping others live better, principle-centred lives?
Given this journey we have embarked upon over the last 15 years, and the unquestionable lessons we have learnt and shared along the way, our experience has proven that no matter what difference we want to make, or what we want to change in our lives, businesses or careers, it just simply cannot be optimised or sustained without a commitment to the mastery of the principles of effectiveness, that is the primary foundation of everything human.
